More than 100 different tree species are on the grounds of the Woodlawn Cemetery & Arboretum, and tree walks with a naturalist can help people learn to identify them.
Every Fourth Tuesday through November, a 90-minute tree identification walk will focus on “the subtle but easy cues that lead directly to identifying a tree.” Participants will learn techniques to diagnose tree problems, including “which ones need immediate attention and which ones are just cosmetic and won’t compromise the health of the tree,” according to a release from the arboretum.
