Michigan Hit-and-Run Leaves Two Critically Injured in Monroe County

Monroe, MI – A hit-and-run incident late Saturday night in Monroe County left two pedestrians critically injured after they were struck while crossing a highway.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 9:44 p.m. Saturday on N. Dixie Highway near I-75 in Frenchtown Township. Authorities said a blue, four-door Ford sedan traveling northeast allegedly struck Connie L. Cosby and Anthony R. Keister, both 40, of Monroe, as they attempted to cross the road.

The sheriff’s report states Cosby came to rest in the center turn lane, while Keister ended up in the northeast lane. The driver of the Ford sedan reportedly fled the scene immediately after the collision…
