TOLEDO, Ohio — A controversial mining operation in South Toledo is now seeing questions from a federal agency.
11 Investigates has confirmed through multiple sources that at least three individuals within local government have been contacted by the FBI in connection to the Rocky Ridge Development project, though the scope and nature of the federal interest remains unclear. The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity, were not authorized to discuss the contacts publicly.
Rocky Ridge Development LLC has been extracting sand and clay from three parcels off Angola Road – land that is currently zoned for residential use, not industrial.
