Venezuelan who enrolled in Perrysburg High School charged with four federal counts

A Venezuelan man accused of posing as a teenage refugee to enroll in Perrysburg High School has been indicted on four federal criminal charges related to making false statements and illegal gun possession.

The grand jury in U.S. District Court in Toledo charged Anthony Emmanuel Labrador Sierra, 24, with possession of a firearm by an alien unlawfully in the United States, making a false statement during the purchase of a firearm, and making or using false writings or documents.

If convicted he faces up to 15 years in prison on the possession charge, 10 years for submitting false information to the gun dealer, and five years for the false-writings charge, the U.S. district attorney’s office said…
