Park Apartments to open in September; LMH now accepting applications

TOLEDO, Ohio — Lucas County Metropolitan Housing (LMH) is accepting applications for a new affordable housing community slated to open in south Toledo this September.

The community, called Park Apartments, is located on a half-acre site on Wade and Knapp streets in south Toledo. According to a press release from LMH, the purpose of the community is to provide housing specifically to young adults in the area who are at risk of or are experiencing homelessness.

The building contains 45 units and is rebuilt from the former Park Hotel, which was built in 1909 and demolished in 2023. 41 of the units will be single-bedroom, while four will be two-bedroom. The project in total cost $15 million, LMH said…
