Lucas County Fair sees growing attendance in ‘rebuilding year’

MAUMEE, Ohio — As the Lucas County Fair entered its fifth day, attendance showed a steady increase, according to organizers, signaling a strong rebound from last year’s setbacks.

Families like Sandy Franklin’s took advantage of the fair’s offerings, enjoying improved attractions and special free admission days.

“It’s Friday, it’s Grandma Day, and we try to do something special,” Franklin said. “I just retired this week, so it’s the first time we can do it during the day.”…
