Mike McCarthy, the editor, owner, and publisher of the Mirror Newspapers in Maumee, has died, his family said.
“Mike was gifted with a uniquely pure and youthful soul and he always lifted those around him, regardless of the constant pressures that come with running a weekly local newspaper. We were all extraordinarily lucky to call him a boss, a friend, a husband, a father,” his son, Denny McCarthy, posted on the newspaper’s Facebook page Saturday.
