Man accused in south Toledo McDonald’s shooting death found incompetent to stand trial

TOLEDO, Ohio — Kemarri Anderson, the 24-year-old accused of shooting and killing a man at a south Toledo McDonald’s on May 20, has been found incompetent to stand trial.

According to court records from the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas, Anderson was found incompetent on Tuesday to stand trial in the shooting death of 44-year-old Brandon Abbott. However, records state there was “substantial probability” that Anderson will be competent to stand trial within a year, if provided a course of treatment.
