TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police will be conducting a “city-wide traffic enforcement blitz” next week, the department announced on Friday.
The blitz will happen at various times from July 21-25 and will concentrate in areas throughout Toledo, including areas “with a higher number of reported traffic crashes,” the department’s traffic division said in a press release.
“This enforcement special is made possible by a Federal Grant from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that is administered through the State of Ohio Department of Criminal Justice,” the release says. “Officers assigned to the special are paid on an overtime basis and are in addition to the regularly assigned officers on the shift.”…
