Cocaine Seized During Monroe Traffic Stop; Driver in Custody

MONROE CO. — A Canadian truck driver is in custody after state police seized over a million dollars’ worth of cocaine during a traffic stop in Monroe County.

The incident occurred Tuesday night around 9:15 p.m., when Commercial Vehicle Enforcement officers at the northbound I-75 weigh station noticed a flatbed truck bypass the scales. Officers conducted a traffic stop near mile marker 15 in Frenchtown Township.
