ERIE TWP., MI — The Erie Township police chief is on his way out, but he’s making sure his department is in good hands first.
Tim Ames has been the township’s police chief for five years and an officer of the law since 1988. He started in Woodhaven, then went to Dundee after 30 years there. After seven years there and a short stay in Luna Pier, he arrived in Erie Township.
