Police arrest second suspect for felonious assault in Fremont triple shooting

TOLEDO, Ohio — Police have arrested a second person charged with felonious assault in the triple shooting in Fremont last week.

According to Fremont police Chief Derek Wensinger, Jonathan Martin, 21, turned himself in to the Sandusky County Sheriff’s Office around 1:30 a.m. on July 18, about three hours after the shooting at Rodger Young Park the night before, which injured two 19-year-olds and a 17-year-old.

Martin and 18-year-old Elijah Hill face felonious assault charges for the shooting. According to Fremont municipal court records, Martin attempted to shoot Hill in the incident…
