TOLEDO, Ohio — Community members gathered at One Government Center in downtown Toledo on Thursday to honor Buffalo Soldiers’ Day, a statewide recognition established in 2022.
For the next five days, the Buffalo Soldier flag will fly in place of the Lucas County flag to commemorate the legacy of the first all-Black regiments in the U.S. Army.
