TOLEDO, Ohio — What used to be burned off as waste at Toledo’s landfill could soon become a gold mine from a new proposal that promises to turn methane into money.
City Council is reviewing a 20-year deal with Northwest Natural Renewables that would capture methane gas from the Hoffman Road Sanitary Landfill and convert it into renewable natural gas, the kind used to power homes and appliances.
