MAUMEE, Ohio (WTVG) – Kathleen Klein remembers a time before the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). It was a different world for her childhood friend who was in a wheelchair.
“There were steps everywhere, there weren’t ramps, that kind of thing so she was relegated to staying at home,” Klein, a member of Maumee’s ADA Advisory Commission said about her friend.
