A city of Toledo initiative to install high-tech pedestrian crossings at four locations will make the city safer and advance the goal of fewer motor vehicle crash injuries and deaths.
The locations include the Toledo Zoo on Broadway where the pedestrian crosswalk is away from a street intersection where drivers know to look for traffic and pedestrians. That crosswalk is where Zoo patrons cross Broadway to get to their parked cars on the other side of the street.
