The celebration of the Rev. James K. Say’s 92nd birthday on July 13 was also an opportunity to recognize his 65 years ordination in the Toledo Diocese.
After eight years of study at Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary in Cincinnati, he did graduate work at Xavier University and the University of Toledo. He also attended a three- month seminar in Rome in 1993.
Those impressive high numbers may indicate he is retired, but that is not completely accurate. He conducts Mass every Sunday at Long Beach, near Oak Harbor, Ohio. The location depends on the weather.
