Darnell Jones appears in court for second pretrial hearing in killing of Kei’Mani Latigue

TOLEDO, Ohio — The man accused of raping and murdering 13-year-old Kei’Mani Latigue in March of this year appeared in court Monday for a second pretrial hearing in the case.

Darnell Jones is facing numerous felony counts in Kei’Mani’s death, including aggravated murder, rape, kidnapping and gross abuse of a corpse, among others. Jones was arrested after Kei’Mani’s body was found in an abandoned east Toledo property, less than a week after she was first reported missing.
