BOWLING GREEN — A Wood County judge gave retired Rossford Police Chief Glenn Goss, Sr., a year of probation and suspended jail time Thursday morning for using a police database inappropriately.
Mr. Goss, 61, pleaded guilty last month to two misdemeanor counts of attempted improper use of a police database.
Defense lawyer Jerome Phillips said in Wood County Common Pleas Court on Thursday that Mr. Goss was essentially “guilty of laziness” because the information he sought when he used the Law Enforcement Automated Database System to look up motor-vehicle records for his father and wife in late 2019 and early 2020 was also available through public records, had he taken the time to follow proper procedure…
