Toledo celebrates transformation of former dumping site into wetland

TOLEDO, Ohio — The City of Toledo announced Wednesday that after three years, a former dumping site has officially been transformed into a wetland and park.

“What was once a confined disposal facility with almost no public access has now been transformed into a peaceful nature reserve—perfect for spotting local wildlife, connecting with nature, and enjoying our beautiful waterfront,” the City of Toledo wrote.
