Moving scam – BGPD investigate case of BG man moving to Nashville, but his belongings going elsewhere

A Bowling Green man moving to Nashville, Tennessee, reported to police that his belongings were taken by a moving truck to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, instead.

Bowling Green Police responded to the suspicious incident after the man moving from an apartment in the 400 block of South Summit Street, called to say his furniture and other belongings never arrived at his new address.

The man told police that his parents had entered a contract with Menards Moving & Storage and paid $858 on their debit card for the move. The company allegedly subcontracted with a company identified as Swift Moving Services…
