Five downtown Toledo intersections could lose their traffic signals if the city determines during an imminent study that they’re unnecessary.
The signals at the five corners will be placed on flashing mode Monday, with signs alerting motorists to their potential removal after a 90-day test period.
“If these signals are found to be unnecessary, we have an opportunity to improve traffic flow and reduce energy use while making the area easier to navigate for everyone,” City Councilman Nick Komives said in a prepared statement the city released Thursday afternoon…
