3 charged after 13 children found living in ‘deplorable conditions’

Three people have been charged with endangering children after police found 13 kids under the age of 14 living in deplorable conditions in an East Toledo home.

Just after 6:30 p.m. Sunday, police responded to an animal complaint at a house in the 300 block of Raymer Boulevard. Responding officers found the children in “deplorable conditions that put their heath and safety at risk,” officials said.

Angel Lambert, 32, of the Raymer address, was charged with eight counts of endangering children, a first-degree misdemeanor. According to the affidavits filed with the court, her eight children were living in a home with no food in the kitchen and no working toilet or shower. The report said it was infested by multiple insects. Officers also found “human feces on the floor and multiple animals that were not cared for also urinating and defecating on the floor.”…
