Agenda Sports Bar shut down by judge for one year

TOLEDO, Ohio — A Lucas County judge has declared a north Toledo bar a nuisance, completely shutting down the business for the next year, according to court records.

According to documents obtained by WTOL 11, the Toledo Municipal Court system ruled that the city had met the burden of proof, indicating the Agenda Sports Bar was a nuisance. The court had previously granted a restraining order against the establishment to keep it from operating. This, after the bar was the site of a quadruple shooting that killed two people on the Fourth of July weekend.

The city sought in the filing to have the bar declared a nuisance property, writing, “It is the site of routine and regular violence, theft and property damage,” and referencing the July 6 shooting…
