TOLEDO, Ohio — The Lucas County Engineer’s Office said it has secured a federal grant to build two new roundabouts, which are slated for construction in 2030.

- The two roundabouts will be placed at Nebraska Avenue and Centennial Road in Springfield Township, and Sylvania Ave and Richfield Center Road in Richfield Township
- The Lucas County Engineer’s Office said from 2019 to 2023, Nebraska Avenue and Centennial Road had a 73% injury rate with 11 total crashes — eight of them causing injuries
- As for Sylvania Avenue and Richfield Center Road, the intersection had a 57% injury rate
The two roundabouts will be placed at Nebraska Avenue and Centennial Road in Springfield Township, and Sylvania Ave and Richfield Center Road in Richfield Township.
