Toledo bar owner pushes back after judge shutters business for one year following deadly shooting

TOLEDO, Ohio — The owner of a Toledo bar shut down after a fatal shooting says the punishment is misplaced, and he’s now appealing to city council for support.

Sean Love, owner of Agenda Bar, learned last week that a Lucas County judge upgraded a temporary restraining order into a full closure order. The ruling keeps the bar closed until August 2026.

The shutdown follows a July 6 shooting outside the bar that left two men dead and two others injured. Toledo police say the incident was the culmination of a years-long pattern, with 24 police reports tied to the location over the past four years…
