A driver accused of causing a fatal crash by running a red light on the Anthony Wayne Trail was released on his own recognizance Thursday after pleading not guilty to two charges in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.
Desmond L. Dohbit, 32, of Maumee, is charged with third-degree aggravated vehicular homicide and fourth-degree aggravated vehicular assault for the May 29 crash at the Sherwood Avenue intersection in which Laurie Greene, 22, of Toledo, suffered injuries to which she succumbed on June 11.
Judge Lori Olender accepted defense lawyer Richard Mitchell’s request that Mr. Dohbit, who has no criminal record and has steady employment, be released on a recognizance bond pending the case’s outcome…
