The Toledo Lucas County Public Library board of trustees decided Thursday to proceed with the closure of its Toledo Heights Branch library.
The library, at 423 Shasta Dr. in South Toledo, will close on Jan. 2, said Stephanie Elton, communications strategist for Toledo Lucas County Public Library. It will merge with the Heatherdowns Branch at 3265 Glanzman Rd.
The Heatherdowns location will remain open while the library works to obtain land for a new consolidated branch that officials hope to open in 2028, she said…
