SYLVANIA, Ohio — Wi-Fi-connected devices will not be able to send text messages using Sylvania Schools’ public Wi-Fi during the school day starting next week, Superintendent Veronica Motley said in an update Thursday to the district’s cell phone policy.
“Starting next week, Sylvania Schools will disable the texting feature on our public Wi-Fi during the instructional day. Students will still have full access to all school-related digital tools,” Motley said in a letter to families. “This will affect all Wi-Fi-connected devices in our buildings.”
