In downtown Toledo, where many vacant spaces are collecting dust, one man is filling his with color — and his vision of what the city could be.
“There’s so many empty storefronts that are all around the city,” said local artist Roger Zielinski. “I would love to see all those filled up with art studios.”
Zielinski has made the space at 111 S. Huron St. his studio for the past year. The artist set up a display in the window in front of some fake walls, leaving a huge space behind for him to work on his art. “Before, it had nothing. You could look in and see file cabinets,” he said of the space…
