Man found not guilty by reason of insanity for stabbing two people in east Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio — A man was found not guilty by reason of insanity on Tuesday in the stabbing of two people inside a home in east Toledo in June.

Thomas Wilson, 47, appeared in Lucas County Common Pleas Court for a bench trial, where he was found not guilty by reason of insanity to one count of attempted murder and two counts of felonious assault.

According to court records, Wilson was referred to the Court Diagnostic and Treatment Center for an evaluation to determine if he is subject to being hospitalized or institutionalized. He is scheduled to be back in court for a hearing on Sept. 30…
