New kiosks replace meters in downtown Toledo parking project

TOLEDO, Ohio — Downtown Toledo visitors are starting to see a change in how they pay for parking as single-space meters are replaced with multi-space kiosks.

The shift is part of the ParkSmart program, operated by the Toledo–Lucas County Port Authority. In a statement, the agency said the project began in 2022 and will continue over the next several years.
