First responder recognition: Perrysburg swears in police chief, honors employees

Perrysburg City Council celebrated first responders at Tuesday’s meeting, swearing in a new police chief and recognizing officers of the year.

Chris Sargent, who had been deputy police chief, was formally sworn in as police chief. He is replacing Patrick Jones, who took the new deputy city administrator position, and is also the public safety director.
