TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo Zoo has a new resident roaming Tiger Terrace.
Brosno, a three-year-old Amur tiger, recently arrived in Toledo as a part of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ Species Survival Plan, a program designed to strengthen the genetic population of endangered species.
Toledo Zoo officials stated Brosno will eventually be introduced to the zoo’s female Amur tiger, Talya, later this fall or winter. Since this will be his first time in the breeding program, keepers plan to move at a pace that ensures the comfort and safety of both tigers…
