Local non-profits are partnering together to keep housing at the forefront of this year’s local elections. On Wednesday, September 24, members of the community are invited to Toledo’s Candidates Forum for Housing Services. Hosted by the Fair Housing Center, Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity and the Toledo Lucas County Homelessness Board, this forum offers the community a chance to hear directly from the leaders who will make crucial housing decisions.
Questions have been submitted by the public and will cover topics like housing laws and policies, childhood lead poisoning, housing discrimination, homelessness in Toledo and more. As housing continues to be the number one concern for Toledo residents (according to United Way 2-11), the Forum for Housing Services provides an opportunity for Toledo to make its voice heard and make informed decisions about the future of our city.
The forum will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m., at the Toledo Lucas County Downtown Library, 325 North Michigan Street, McMaster Center…
