The Whitmer High School prairie has become a living, breathing laboratory for students in the Washington Local Schools.
Eighth graders Jordyn Payne and Leland Reams enjoyed being outside and helping gather information for the district’s first BioBlitz.
“I learned a lot by being outside and not just reading about things in a book,” Jordyn said. “We are able to look at the plants in greater detail. We can look a little harder to be able to see the smaller species of plants and bugs here, too.”…
