TOLEDO, Ohio — Some west Toledo residents are fighting to save trees in their neighborhood after learning the city plans to remove them for a new sidewalk project.
Frank Sipos, who has lived on Harrow Road with his family since 1964, said the trees hold personal meaning.
“I used to climb these trees when I was 9,” Sipos said. “They mean something to me. Perhaps in the city’s eyes that’s not an important consideration, but to me it is.”…
