MONROE Co., Mich. (WTVG) – Most animal shelters and rescues around the region and the country are overcrowded right now. Some are even having to stop taking owner surrenders and that includes the Humane Society of Monroe County in Michigan.
Like many shelter workers, the employees at the humane society are used to difficult days. But lately, the workers say those days seem to be piling up and that’s what inspired the manager to send a message to the community.
