Lucas County property owners have received more than $4.6 million in refunds as a result of decisions by the board that has the power to review property valuations.
In addition, property owners who challenged their valuations but have not yet paid their property taxes have had their bills reduced by $1 million.
“There remain a few cases to be heard next week for 2025,” Lucas County Auditor Katie Moline said in an email to The Blade. “The entire ‘process’ after hearing the cases includes ensuring the decision is processed through our Real Estate (CAMA) system and our tax accounting system — to send decision letters, issue refunds/adjustments if applicable, and to update one’s future tax bill.”…
