Teen struck by car while riding bicycle Friday evening in Toledo, police say

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) -TPD says a teenager was seriously injured when they were struck by a car while riding a bike Saturday night in Toledo.

Officers with TPD say a teenage bicyclist was southbound on Upton Avenue and attempted to cross Dorr Street around 8:30 p.m. While crossing, a car struck the 17-year-old boy. He was hospitalized with serious injuries, though authorities say he’s expected to survive.

According to detectives, the driver of the car and the other two occupants were not injured. The driver told detectives the light was green…
