New midsize truck to be assembled in Toledo as part of Stellantis investment

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Stellantis announced Tuesday that it will be investing $13 billion to grow in the United States. Nearly $400 million of that investment will go toward projects at the Toledo Assembly Complex.

According to a press release from Stellantis, the assembly of an all-new midsize truck, which was previously allocated to the Belvidere, Illinois, plant, will now move to the Toledo Assembly Complex. The new midsize truck will join the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator at the Toledo Assembly Complex.

Stellantis said that the production shift could create more than 900 jobs. The launch timing is expected in 2028…
