Tabby Tails overcharged and overwhelmed

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A cat rescue that cares for up to 250 animals at a time will receive a refund Thursday after a water company billing error drained most of its bank account.

Tabby Tails Cat Rescue founder Kay Banks said Northwestern Water and Sewer District charged nearly $3,000 instead of the nonprofit’s usual $90 monthly water bill.
