Lucas County Auditor Katie Moline and her staff will be visiting local senior centers in coming weeks to spread the word about how homestead exemptions can lower people’s property taxes.
The first of this series of presentations was held Thursday at the Margaret Hunt Senior Center in South Toledo. About 30 people attended. Ms. Moline and her staff received 10 homestead applications there in less than an hour.
