TOLEDO, Ohio — Regardless of the fact that it’s almost 2,000 miles away, Hurricane Melissa is having a direct impact on Toledo’s Jamaican community.
WTOL 11 checked in with Jamaican Spice restaurant in west Toledo to see how they’re faring with the Category 5 storm closing in on parts of their home.
Chef Ricardo Miller and many others in the family restaurant business have migrated from Jamaica to Toledo, but still own property and are well connected in Jamaica.
