Man sentenced to up to 22 years in prison for violent assault in Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio — A man was sentenced last week to up to 22 years in prison for a violent assault in March that left the victim unconscious for over 10 minutes in central Toledo.

According to the Lucas County Prosecutor’s Office, Bobby Fench, 27, was sentenced to 8-12 years after being convicted of felonious assault on Oct. 2. He must also serve an additional 10 years under the repeat violent offender specification.

The prosecutor’s office said the victim left Fench’s home in the 3000 block of Fulton Street on March 10 before he chased her down and hit her in the head, knocking her to the ground. According to prosecutors, Fench charged at the victim again when she tried to get up…
