About 200 people cheered loudly Friday night as hundreds of bistro lights lit up overhead in a Main Street block between Monroe Street and Maplewood Avenue in uptown Sylvania.
The crowd gathered to celebrate the lighting of the bistro lights that capped off a $4.5 million block renovation project.
It included the installation of brick pavers in parking areas and replacement of temporary wood installations with the permanent ADA-compliant pavers on all sidewalks to provide uninhibited access to businesses on the block, according to Sylvania Mayor Mark Frye, who led the celebration…
