Lucas County deputy faces charges after alleged hit-and-run incident

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A Lucas County Sheriff’s deputy is facing charges in Sylvania Municipal Court after allegedly hitting a car and failing to stop, and the victim is now speaking out about the incident.

Deputy Mesha Brown is accused of sideswiping a 46-year-old woman’s car on Sept. 30 on Garden Road, on the overpass near I-475. The victim, who asked to remain anonymous, said she was stunned to learn the driver of the black Jeep involved in the crash was a sheriff’s deputy.
