ODOT seeks public comment on proposed project to rehabilitate Craig Memorial Bridge in Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio — The Ohio Department of Transportation is seeking public comments on a proposed project to rehabilitate the Craig Memorial Bridge in Toledo, which carries State Route 65 over the Maumee River.

ODOT said the project will upgrade the bridge’s internal electrical and mechanical systems, with construction expected to begin in spring 2027 and finish in fall 2028.

According to ODOT, the work will require the bridge spans to remain in the upright, or open, position to allow river navigation, closing the bridge to vehicles and pedestrians for up to six months. Specific closure dates have not been determined…
