TOLEDO, Ohio — Libbey Glass employees remain on the picket line Friday, still on strike since late August, as they fight for what they call a fair contract.
But after one union rejected the company’s latest proposal earlier this week, workers said they now expect the strike to stretch easily into December and possibly longer.
Internal documents leaked on Wednesday revealed details of the offer:
- A 24% wage increase over three years
- Premium pay for extended hours
- No increase in healthcare costs through 2026
