Drainage maintenance will affect southbound I-280 near and across the Veterans’ Glass City Skyway on Monday, the Ohio Department of Transportation said.
Starting at 7 a.m., the right lane will be closed and three ramps will be blocked: the southbound exit and entrance at Greenbelt Parkway and the southbound exit at Front Street.
The ramp closings will definitely wrench anyone trying to approach downtown Toledo from the north via I-280. Unless you’re OK with a detour all the way to Starr Avenue, your best bet may be to stay on southbound I-75 and exit either at Phillips Avenue (to go to Cherry Street) or the Washington Street/Downtown exit…
